Tic and the Courage to Set Off

Tic lived in a small railway station, where every morning began with a train whistle and the promise of a journey. He was a cheerful suitcase, always curious about what lay beyond the next stop. He counted encounters rather than miles: a greeting on a platform, a story shared along the way, a first glimpse of the sea through a window.

After each journey, a little raised symbol appeared on his shell. None of them told how far he had travelled. Each recalled someone he had met or a moment he never wanted to forget.

One day, Tic met a traveller who kept postponing his departure, afraid he did not know enough about the world. “I don’t know what is around the next bend either,” said the suitcase. “But we can discover it together.” They boarded a train that went only as far as the next village. There they found a little market, warm bread and someone who showed them the way to the loveliest sunset.

When they returned, Tic carried a new memory, and the traveller was already planning another trip. He had discovered that adventure begins with a first step, even close to home.
