About this product
Coral – Sculptor of the Depths brings a little storybook workshop to your shelf. This decorative figurine is 3D-printed in PLA and hand-painted. It portrays a friendly octopus artist in warm coral-orange tones, with expressive eyes, a beret and a turquoise apron with a pocket. Curled tentacles with pale suction cups surround the character as it carefully holds a small cream-coloured sculpture inspired by branching sea coral. Hand painting brings out the contrast between the body, apron and sculpture, along with the details of the face and tentacles. Slight differences in shade and paint application may occur between pieces as part of the hand-painted finish. At the dimensions of approximately 11 × 10 × 9 cm (L × D × H), Coral makes a compact, expressive addition to a desk, bookshelf or creative corner. A thoughtful gift for ocean lovers, artists and collectors of storybook characters.

Coral and the shape inside the stone
At the edge of a reef, in a workshop where the light moved with the waves, lived Coral. He would put on his beret, smooth his turquoise apron and choose a stone rounded by the sea. Before starting, he turned it over carefully: sometimes he found a face in it, sometimes a shell or the outline of a branch.
One morning, he found a pale stone so irregular that it resembled none of his sketches. He studied it for a long time, then looked up at the reef. The coral branches grew in different directions, and that was what made them beautiful. With small, patient movements, he shaped the stone into a sculpture of rounded branches.
When his friends came to see it, Coral showed them where the first branch had begun. He had started with no perfect plan, just the curiosity to try. Now he holds his little creation close, reminding you that an idea needs time, attention and the courage to make the first move.
