Nitu and the nut for his next invention

At the end of a workbench, among sketches and boxes of parts, Nitu had a little place of his own. The small teal robot watched every invention take shape through his round eyes. He loved the moment when two pieces fitted together and an idea drawn on paper finally began to work.

One evening, after the workshop had fallen quiet, a single hexagonal nut remained on the bench. Nitu picked it up with both hands and studied it. Perhaps it would secure a wheel on a flower-watering machine. Perhaps it would complete a miniature windmill. He did not know yet, but he made room for it beside tomorrow’s sketches.

Ever since, Nitu has saved the last nut for his next invention. With his oversized boots firmly planted and the piece held close to his chest, he patiently awaits a new idea. On your desk or shelf, he is a reminder to return to an unfinished project, notice the little things and try once more. Sometimes, the part left over is the one that gives you the idea you need.

Leave room for your next idea.

Nitu’s ritual: look closely, try patiently and take one small step on your project today.
